“My experience with foster care led me to become a therapist. Providing a caring home for children who had experienced trauma, and witnessing how trauma, emotional dysregulation, and challenging behaviors affect the entire family, inspired me to better understand how to help both myself and others. I pursued my education in mental health counseling so I could more effectively advocate for and support children, adults, and families as they navigate life's challenges.
I believe healing happens in relationships and there is power in presence. We were designed for relationships and never meant to carry our burdens alone. One of the greatest gifts I can offer as a therapist is to be with my clients, communicating, "I'm here. I hear you. I understand. I care. I delight in you" (Gary Landreth). When people feel genuinely seen, heard, understood, and accepted, they are free to explore, grow, and heal.
It is an honor and a privilege to bear witness to each client’s story, engage in therapeutic play, and build trust with each client as I walk with them on their journey toward wholeness and wellness.
